Cognitive Dissonance: Why Some Patients Get No Help After Brain Injury
A recent edition of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) features a front page story that outlines barriers to cognitive rehabilitation. The WSJ article coincides with the distribution today by the Brain Injury Association of America of a position paper entitled, Cognitive Rehabilitation: The Evidence, Funding and Case for Advocacy, which calls on legislators and private sector payers to eliminate barriers to access and delivery of cognitive rehabilitation treatment for patients with acquired brain injuries.
