Mike focuses his practice on complex business litigation and arbitrations. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of business disputes including cases involving breach of contract and fraud, commercial real estate, lender liability, shareholder and partnership disputes, securities fraud, non-competition agreements, and software development and licensing. 

Prior to joining Federal & Hasson, LLP, Mike was an associate at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan where he represented a wide variety of clients in federal and state courts, including real estate developers, manufacturers, automotive dealerships, restaurants and food distributors, investment advisors, broker-dealers and insurance companies.  While at Sutherland, Mike co-authored a seminar entitled Ethical Issues in the Corporate World (2006).

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1968, Mike has lived in the Atlanta area since 1979 and graduated from Wheeler High School in Cobb County.  Mike attended Florida State University where he graduated magna cum laude from the Honors Program in Political Science in 1991.  Mike earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill and was admitted to practice in the State of Georgia in 1995.

Mike has extensive big firm experience working at two of the most prestigious law firms in Atlanta, Alston & Bird LLP, and Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP. On the eve of a jury trial, he obtained a seven-figure settlement representing a small business in complex litigation against one of the largest food processors in the United States. The case involved claims for tortious interference with business relations, breach of contract and fraud. Additionally, he has successfully represented insurance companies, investment companies, and broker-dealers in litigation and regulatory investigations concerning revenue sharing, directed brokerage, suitability, market timing, and late trading.

Mike is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is on the Executive Committee of the Business Law and Litigation Section of the Cobb County Bar Association.  Mike is actively involved in his community through organizations including Hands on Atlanta, the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and the Cobb County YMCA.
